Kris began his architectural career in Middlesbrough in 1995, qualifying as a Chartered Architect in Sheffield, in 2005. Kris has a passion for high quality design and believes that building strong working relationships with the project team is essential in successful projects. An advocate for the full adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the construction industry, Kris has used Revit since starting his first architectural practice, SIX Architecture + Design Ltd (SIX AD), in 2009.

Following the merger of SIX AD with a larger practice in 2016, Kris co-founded DesignXY Ltd in 2018. He has been the Principal Director since April 2020.

About Kris

Kris is married to Verity; they have three children, a grandson and a Chocolate Labrador. Kris enjoys working out at the gym, road cycling, target shooting, riding his motorbike, scuba diving, ice skating, watching ice hockey and rugby union, hill-walking, playing his guitars, and trips to the cinema.

As required under The Architects Act 1997, Kris is registered in the UK as an Architect with the Architects Registration Board.

Kris is also a Chartered Architect, as a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
